Organization of production as a science

The Concept of the production process implies that methods for the selection and combination of production elements in time and space with the aim of achieving an effective end result. Thus, the organization of production – a system of measures whose objective is the rational combination in space and time of key physical elements and people involved in the production process.

The Organization of production is based on the following main principles:

-specialization, which is characterized by limited range the name of the product and its mass production;

-continuity; its purpose is to increase the time of processing the object of labor, and reducing time spent waiting, reducing interruptions;

-proportionality, which is to achieve a relatively equal amount of output and scope of work for a certain period of time in all the main and auxiliary subdivisions of the enterprise;

-the continuous-flow, ensure the shortest distance at movement of objects of labor in the production process;

Is the rhythm, which involves regular repetition of the production process through equal periods of time;

-the flexibility to produce new products.

Organization of production, how science was born only a little more than 100 years ago. During this time she had periods of stagnation, and rapid ascents. But until now, the scientific organization of labor had not received a clear definition in the research literature. Organization of production in time and space sometimes are seen by some scholars as different processes are interconnected.

In the 60-ies and 80-ies of the last century were formed various definitions of this science, which can be divided into two options:

-the science that studies the manifestation and action of objective economic laws, reflected in production and economic activity of the investigated enterprises;

-rational connection  the main elements of production in time and space in different ways.

Already in 1956 in the United States as an unambiguous official definition was adopted wording that the science of the organization of production studies the design, improvement and practical application of integrated circuits, which include the people, equipment, and materials. Further study of this science, it was revealed that the organization of production and entrepreneurship the consideration of various multi-dimensional tasks.

A Comprehensive review of these tasks can be deciding what to do for successful business enterprise specialists and production managers. After all, in order to be able to carry out a successful external maneuvers, there must be a clear picture of the status of domestic production, its current and future opportunities that can be actively used to achieve goals.

Practice shows that the organization of production even in similar enterprises are usually faced with the decision of arising the specific and unique challenges. In particular, these include tasks for efficient use of labor and equipment, the provision of materials and raw materials, better use of production space, raising the quality and improving the product range, the production of new types of products.

All of these problems can be solved only in the aggregate of all the investigated factors, since they all together constitute the production process. If the Manager acts on one of the elements of the system, it immediately has an impact on the status of the other part system, subsystems and components.
