International day of tolerance - promoting equality

The Problem of tolerance, respect for others ' views, making the interests of the other person, of course, can be called eternal. For many years all over the Earth from time to time held a variety of events, whose main goal is to prove that all men are equal, that it is impossible to say that one nation is better than another, and one religion is more correct than the other, that it is impossible to condemn someone's views, even if they don't coincide with yours. International day of tolerance – a celebration of all those who care about the problem of discrimination and is doing everything possible to prove that everyone has the right to happiness, regardless of skin color, religion, sexual orientation, and other aspects.

History

The UN and UNESCO – one of the world's most respected organizations advocating the promotion of human equality. It was on the initiative of UNESCO in 1995 adopted a Declaration of principles of tolerance, and within a year after this momentous event was established holiday-the international day of tolerance.

UN officials have repeatedly emphasized that in no case can justify illegal actions in relation to different ethnic or social groups tolerance: do not allow to develop to racism, should not be allowed to restrict rights and freedoms of others, saying that the negative has a right to exist. Tolerance must be instilled from childhood, like the ability to walk, talk, read, however, people cannot remain indifferent to the problems of other people.

International day of tolerance celebrated on November 16 – in the day of the Declaration of principles on tolerance, which became the legal basis for the equality of all the inhabitants of the Earth.

Commemoration

Not to mention the fact that many public organizations in Russia and abroad celebrate the international day of tolerance. Usually this feast arranged a variety of events that help to unite people of different nationalities and religions, showing examples of friendship of peoples and tells about the consequences of hatred between ethnic groups. Traditionally, these activities are carried out in the faculties of international relations in different universities, educational institutions, receiving students from different countries and other associations involved in cross-cultural communication. And, perhaps, promote the ideas of tolerance – the most necessary and useful propaganda. What is surprising is that humanity has long since abandoned many remnants of the past, but can not forget the discrimination based on skin color or ethnicity. Without enmity and hate, the world would be much better without the stupid and unwarranted aggression everyone could be happy. In order to get more people realized this and required the international day of tolerance – one of the most cosmopolitan and really need holidays.
