The right choice of cat food is the key to the health of a pet

Proper nutrition plays an important role for your pet. In order for the cat to be energetic and mobile, you need to take care of it and make a balanced diet. The right choice of cat food will help to cope with this task in the best way. 

Feeding an animal with natural products is preferable, but it can be quite difficult to choose a balanced diet and properly balance the nutrition yourself. Dry food does not require special storage conditions and is convenient for transportation.

When making a menu, remember that cats are predators in nature, and the basis of their diet is meat. According to the composition of cat food, they are divided into three main categories.

1. Economy-class feeds are characterized by the availability and low quality of protein components represented by soy products. Economy-class food contains a lot of preservatives, food additives, is poorly digested and is not recommended as the basis of the diet. The product is not balanced, therefore it requires vitamins and complex supplements. The economy class includes feed "Vaska", "Friskas", "Meal" and others.

2. Commercial feeds contain more protein of animal origin, fewer various dyes and preservatives, and a small amount of offal is present in their composition. The quality of the product is not much higher than that of economy-class feed, and the average price is due to advertising costs. Commercial are "Darling", "Whiskey", "Kitecat" and others.

3. Premium and super premium are the best choice of cat food. Premium products are manufactured in accordance with quality standards, contain natural ingredients and mineral vitamin complexes. Premium cat food is adapted for different groups of animals depending on age and weight, enriched with vitamins, fully balanced. High prices are compensated by the high digestibility of the product – up to 85%, respectively, the daily consumption rate is reduced. Representatives of the premium class are "Royal Canin", "Sheba", "ProPlan" and others.
