Spain, Cadiz. An ancient city in Andalusia

In ancient times this place in the Iberian Peninsula was officially considered the end of the world. This definition corresponds to what the eye could see - ahead there was only an overwhelming expanse of the ocean. However, in the modern view, I am completing only Spain. Cadiz  is one of its oldest cities. It is located on a narrow Peninsula, deep slide out from the coastline into the Atlantic. In ancient times, this geographic situation was favourable from the point of view of the fortifications.

Currently, this is quite a significant city in the historical region of Andalusia. Among other things, that it was many thousand years of history, it is famous also as a major Atlantic port. In the era of great geographical discoveries away went to conquer new lands of the Spanish expedition. And not far away were filled with famous caravels of Columbus. For many sailors here ended as Andalusia and Spain. Cadiz was the last port on which it was possible to look from the ship before leaving in the vastness of the ocean in search of a better fate. Today, however, Cadiz is, above all, tourism. For successful development it has everything you need: great beaches, expressive visual texture, based on the traditional historical buildings of the city. The unique flavor of the place give the South the white stone architecture and lush tropical vegetation.

Only after a long journey through the Iberian Peninsula, it becomes apparent how different from one another in different provinces. On this coast is immediately clear that first of all Andalusia, only then Spain. Cadiz is very bright and picturesque town, which is typical of Andalusia. Its famous beaches stretch along the coastline for many kilometers.
